ROLE SUMMARY
• This is a customer facing role with an extension of market access, engaging with payers, institutions, HCPs and other key stakeholders to deliver value-based messages of Pfizer medicines and enhance access through patient assistance programs, affordability programs and innovative healthcare solutions and partnerships.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Establishes relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers to understand payers’ unmet needs and coordinate commercial & access long-term business objectives to maximize access.
• Execute comprehensive Market Access strategies through the integration of pricing and reimbursement, health technology assessment, evidence-based medicine review, and health economic modeling activities.
• Implement an integrated approach to all aspects of the payer value proposition from early development through and beyond loss of exclusivity (LOE).
• Operationalize the approved public policy plan or healthcare initiatives for assigned disease area - engage stakeholders e.g., Ministries, Government, payors, Institutions, NGO, Insurance.
• Work collectively with payers, including HTA, reimbursement influencers and other decision-makers to ensure the continuous changing reimbursement systems remain fair to all involved parties.
• Create a customized value proposition, based on a deeper understanding of payer needs to secure access for new product launches, formulary inclusions, value added program (e.g. disease awareness and education), and/or commercial agreements.
• Communicate the unique attributes of the therapeutic area drugs/medical devices to external multi-stakeholders to ensure the drug’s/device’s value proposition will be recognized and maximize market uptake.
• Analyze data (non-patient) and improve efficiency of Patient Assistance Program process.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Qualifications in pharmacy or other life sciences. Post-graduate qualifications in epidemiology, biostatistics, or health economics.
• 4+ years of experience in HTA/market access/pricing field.
• Experience in developing access strategies for launch, across multiple therapeutic areas is desirable.
• Experience within pharmaceutical, medical devices or affiliated industry.
• Ability to develop and sustain relationships at senior levels with decision makers
• Strategic thinker and highly customer focused
• Proficient in spoken and written English
• Excellent communication, networking and negotiation skills and the ability to cold call and generate new opportunities.
• Proven track record working effectively in a cross functional team, able to work seamlessly across multiple teams and business units and across various levels of leadership, both locally and globally.
